The club runs 3 teams: 1st and 2nd X1s plus the Vets. Sadly the 3rd X1 has been suspended for the time being.  

Pre-season training this year has brought a healthy crop of new faces and the future is looking brighter.  The 1st and 2nd teams play in Arthurian Leagues and Cups while the Vets are in the Essex Vets league Division 1 (West) and 6 cup competitions.  

OC players of all ages are always very welcome.

The OC Golf Society has seen a number of new young OCs golfers joining the ranks of the regular OC players to around 60 with another 40 social golfers.  The Society has about twenty fixtures each year and enters four cup competitions.  All OCs are welcome.

We are blessed with excellent facilities, courts and grounds at the OC clubhouse. OCs play each weekend and welcome all OCs (both female and male) who would like to play. Please contact Ross Berndes (affectionately know as El Captain) via email - ross@rossmotors.co.uk
The OCs play within the South West Essex League and is open to all clubs affiliated to the LTA.

The Old Chigwellians’ Hockey section offers a welcoming and sociable environment for players of all abilities to stay connected through the game. Building on the School’s strong hockey tradition, the section brings together OCs for friendly, competitive fixtures that emphasise enjoyment, teamwork, and rekindling shared experiences. Whether returning to the pitch after a break or continuing a lifelong involvement in the sport, OC Hockey provides a relaxed but purposeful outlet to stay active and engaged.

At its heart, the section is about more than just hockey—it’s about community. Matches and gatherings create opportunities to reconnect with contemporaries, meet fellow OCs across generations, and strengthen ties with the School. With ambitions to grow participation and establish a more regular fixture list, the OC Hockey section is an open invitation to get involved, pick up a stick again, and be part of a revitalised and inclusive sporting network.

The Old Chigwellians’ Cricket section is steadily re-establishing itself as a vibrant and inclusive part of the OC sporting community, bringing together alumni of all ages through a shared love of the game. Recent fixtures, including a flagship match against the current Chigwell School XI, have highlighted not only the competitive spirit on display but also the strong sense of camaraderie and connection that defines OC cricket. Building on this momentum, the ambition is to develop a regular calendar of fixtures that blends competitive cricket with a welcoming, social atmosphere—whether you’re a seasoned player or simply keen to dust off the pads and reconnect. At its heart, OC Cricket is about more than the game itself: it’s about rekindling friendships, strengthening ties with the School, and creating new traditions for future generations of Old Chigwellians.

The Old Chigwellians’ Netball section is a growing and energetic part of the OC sporting community, offering a fantastic opportunity for former pupils to reconnect through a fast-paced and social game. Open to players of all abilities, the section blends friendly competition with an inclusive and supportive atmosphere, making it just as appealing for those returning to netball after many years as it is for regular players looking to stay involved.

More than just a team, OC Netball is about rebuilding connections and creating new ones across the OC network. Match days are as much about camaraderie and shared memories as they are about performance on the court, with a strong emphasis on enjoyment and participation. With ambitions to expand fixtures and encourage more OCs to get involved, the section is a brilliant way to re-engage with the School community—so whether you’re a seasoned shooter or a rusty defender, there’s a place waiting for you.
